Now Boarding Ep. 2
Table for Two
Live Streamed March 29 at 7 pm EST. Written and Directed by Jessica Jupiter
This is a very lighthearted story with clear references to Charlie Chaplin’s work. I wanted to support this mood with acoustic, playful tunes! The violin introduces a few ideas and plays up a few bright melodies. During the pantomime scene in the middle, the guitar pushes the action forward with driving rhythm.

When a disgruntled waiter shows annoyance at their friendship, Steph hopes to educate him on his shortcoming.
The episode, Table for Two, was inspired by a real-life incident that the director, Jessica Jupiter, and her close friend experienced while traveling through the Fort Worth Dallas airport. Table for Two tells the story of two best friends, Elle and Steph, who though slightly obnoxious, have good intentions overall. When they encounter Ralph, a waiter who seems to not be as easily charmed by their presence as they would like, we’re left with an over the top, slapstick-style comedy that sheds light to stereotypes, assumptions, and the inevitable humor that exists within our differences. With an homage to Charlie Chaplin’s The Immigrant, Jessica decided to approach this episode with a light and comedic take because although it addresses some very real issues that exist in our society, she finds that embracing those issues is much more effective (and less overwhelming) when you can do it with a smile.
